7/10  Megan Linden

Megan is one of those people who dreamed of being a writer since they were a little kid and then didn’t do anything about it for years. Then as a teenager she was introduced to fandom and… well. She fell head first into it and never looked back. At some point she decided to try writing her own characters in her own stories. And that’s where she is today.

Megan is also a psychologist and continues to learn the hard way that she can’t give all her clients their happy ending (she truly believes everyone can save themselves, though). That’s why she makes sure to give it to her characters, always.

Q&A with Carter Caraway

Today I’m very lucky to be interviewing Caraway Carter author of Storming Love: Earthquake Anders & Ujaruk

Hi Caraway, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your current book.

1) What is your least favorite part of the publishing/writing process?  Revision/Editing. I have a tendency to write very tell, not show. And the revision process takes forever. It is essential, as I’ve noticed that lots of authors do it. I always had this idea that everyone else just wrote perfect well-structured sentences. I’ve discovered it is not true.

2) As an author, is there one subject you would never write about? I can’t think of one specific subject. My mind is very odd, and I’ve thought of everything from serial killers to vampires. I might have a hard time writing a M/F romance, as it’s not something I’m terribly good at. Though, don’t count me out, I might attempt it as a challenge one day.

3) When did you first realize you wanted to write? I didn’t always want to write, but in the eighties when I got my first computer, I use to write online, pretending to be the Vampire Santino at a few Anne Rice RP sites. That’s where I learned how to tell stories, and as I got older, I played Vampire: The Masquerade, where I’d write these elaborate downtimes. I, belonged to an organization that had chapters worldwide and would get involved in storytelling through emails in these national groups.

Alas, trying to create a vampire that is not my old Malkavian, Venture or Toreador is one tough job.

4) How long did it take to write your book? I believe the call came out in March. It took me a couple of days to come up with the characters, to find pictures of them. I’d say a good three months, the frantic revision/editing in the last days of the book being due. But once the guys started talking, I couldn’t stop them. I find that when I write in forty-five minute sprints, I can get an amazing amount of words down on paper.

5) For Fun: Where is one place you’d like to visit you haven’t been before? If I’d ever go to Alaska, it’ll be on a cruise. I can’t see myself staying there too much, I’d like the luxury of going back to my cabin, drinking and relaxing.

7/31  Nicole Dennis

A quiet one growing up, Nicole Dennis left reality for the comfort of books, filling a personal library over the years. Characters started talking about their own stories. Writing them down whether during or after class, she continues to this day. She lets others meet her characters, walk through her worlds, and sigh as a romance overcomes all obstacles. All of her romances include delightful twists of GLBT, paranormal, fantasy, and erotica and always have their Happily Ever Afters.

She lives and works in Central Florida. Thanks to a quiet working environment, she can escape into her stories. At home, a semi-demonic tortie calico, affectionately known as Fat Cat on social media, rules their home.
