snippets

Welcome to another weekend filled with Rainbow Snippets! This awesome group of authors is sharing 6-sentence story snippets from across the LGBTQIA spectrum.

The link below will take you to the public Facebook group where you find both new and well-established authors posting bits from their WIPs and new releases:

Here’s another 6 sentences for an untitled WIP, a bit of M/M romance paranormal/historical today…Fox has apparently woken up and found himself standing in the middle of the lane in mid 18th century Boston, on the waterfront…

*

His eyes adjusted to the darkness, and he began to make his way home to the boardinghouse.

Fox had to be at work in the bookshop bright and early in the morning. But hadn’t he just come from there?ย  He must haveโ€”what? Bumped his head? That might be a cause for forgetfulness.

  1. Bet he’s in for a nasty shock when he realizes something more unusual has happened that simply bumping his head! That’s a good way to keep readers engaged.

Putting on my moderator’s hat, I need to mention that if you intend for this excerpt to be part of the Weekend Writing Warriors blog hop, it has to be mentioned somewhere so that readers looking for it know they’re in the right place. And I realize this will seem nitpicky, but I didn’t see the link back to our home page until I scrolled up and down a few times. Is it possible to move that up so readers can find it easily? We visit a lot of blogs and it sure helps to be able to find things quickly.

    Thanks so much, Heloise.

  2. Enjoyed the snippet even if this isn’t the WeWriWa one! I think we on that hop sort of expect to land on a one size fits all excerpt LOL. (Because people have been combining WeWriWa and the Sunday Snippets like forever.) But now that I know I should page down and search out another excerpt (whee, two from you to enjoy!), I’m off to read more. Oh, this story seems very intriguing…
