#8sunday Weekend Writing Warriors: Burning Sky #36

Welcome Writing and Reading Warriors!

Follow the link above for more stories and authors 😀

Unfortunately, this is the last installment for Burning Sky, which is now going on hiatus. More pressing stories need attention, and I need to work in the worldbuilding and do some plotting for Burning Sky. It will return. 😀

Dreamers and authors speculated about inhabited planets like our own, inhabited by monsters, or human-like beings, of building bridges to the moon or ships that really did catch the stars like our doomed airship—a fancy name for the beauty that once danced across the clouds.

I swallowed back the rising terror and confusion. This wasn’t a good place to be, among the clouds again. A feather brushed against me. I have wings… I closed my eyes as the sensation of flying brushed through me again, sweeping away the terror.

Tink slapped my leg. “Jonnie! Now is not the time to daydream!”

You want to know their story too, eh? But you’re the author! 🙂

Love this snippet. I am sorry to hear that you will be putting it aside a while – but I know the feeling. Look forward to whatever you share next week!

Sorry to leave this story but if we must, we must! Enjoyed today’s excerpt – I was flying right along with the character and then womp, back to the ground.
