#rainbow snippets: Send Lawyers, Guns, and Roses

Disco Party Ball with Colorful Flames-Lights. Great Background for Music-Dance Events.

“Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQIA authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).

In this group you’ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story’s main character identifies as LGBTQIA. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes, anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be 6 sentences long–one for each color in the Pride flag.”

Welcome to another Saturday filled with Rainbow Snippets!

The link below will take you to the public Facebook group where you find both new and well-established authors posting bits from their WIPs and new releases:

Here’s a little tease from the sequel to Hitting Black Ice, Send Lawyers, Guns, and Roses…

There were days Alex couldn’t believe Hunter was his, something that had once seemed impossible, unreachable. His selfishness for staying with Hunter kept him awake at night, tossing and turning, his head filled with fear. Fear that Vargas or Truman would take Hunter from him, from the world, and he’d be left to live out his days without Hunter, knowing he had been the one to cause his death.

Alex kissed Hunter to burn away his fears. When he put his hand down on the bed to brace himself, he touched the second set of cuffs.

“I can’t believe you did this for me.”

“I guess you liked the video?”

Poor Alex! He needs to find a safe place for himself and Hunter.

I think we need to see the video…

I’m curious about the back story, though, and why he would be responsible for Hunter’s death.

Very intriguing. Why is it selfish to stay with the one you love?

This is a sequel to Hitting Black Ice, where Alex was on the run from a corrupt FBI agent. He fell for Hunter, and Hunter helped him, but Hunter was shot in the process.
      He feels responsible.
