Welcome Writing and Reading Warriors!

Follow the link above for more stories and authors 😀

I’m starting a new project, one that needs to be completed by the late fall. I’ve joined a group of very talented authors who are writing about the Knights of the Black Order, a paranormal action/suspense/MM romance medieval-inspired series created by Thianna D. Durstan, which will be published by Dreamspinner Press. Each knight of the Order has a story to tell, and this is the start of William’s story, a young serf in Normandy….

The knight intent on the game—for the melee was  a game of war, not war itself—had not seen the man standing there waving his arm, the scythe at rest by his side, shoulder deep in the half shorn wheat field. Or had he?

When Da fell, they all ran screaming—his stepmother and her boys, his half-sister…he didn’t hear them now.

The rhythmic sound of the horse running alongside him overwhelmed his pounding heart until the two beat as one.

Bastardsbastardsbastards…

The pain in his belly and now his side took root and drove upwards, strangling his breath until he feared he might burst. The safety of the wood was just ahead of him, and he staggered toward it on legs turning to pottage. He threw himself at a thick and thorny hedge and wormed his way deep into its embrace.

  1. Sorry I’m late. I had to work all weekend and also complete my edits.
OMG you had me when you mentioned the scythe. Great writing and visuals too! I can’t wait to see more.
