“Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQIA authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).
In this group you’ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story’s main character identifies as LGBTQIA. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes, anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be 6 sentences long–one for each color in the Pride flag.”
Welcome to another weekend filled with Rainbow Snippets!
The link below will take you to the public Facebook group where you find both new and established authors posting bits from their WIPs and new releases:
The creative process always surprises me and gifted me with this paranormal story idea some time ago–a hidden kingdom somewhere in the mountains between China and Nepal in the 19th century. Of which I know nothing about, or shifters for that matter.
The well-trained children had lined up in good order at Shin’s tutor’s soft command, as solemn as their parents clustered behind them. Their sons and daughters were of varying ages and gender—I knew in my heart the boy was an alpha born, born to lead. I had always also suspected he would choose a male as his companion, another murmur of my heart. I did not have to explain why, anyway, as the Empress is above such niceties.
Shin growled, crouched as if to attack and then made a short hop. The struggling mouse in his jaws when he rose from the grass made the children closest to him giggle.
