Love For All Seasons Charity Anthology

Universal Buy Link

True love always deserves a happy ending, whatever the season. A charity anthology with all proceeds split between The Matthew Shepard Foundation and The Albert Kennedy Trust.

With characters who find love in a New York park, or on a college campus, in the middle of a snow storm or in the heat of summer, ‘Love for all Seasons’ delivers romance for everyone.

Including stories from five established authors and supporting the work of three authors, new to the world of writing MM romance.

Brioche For Two – V.L Locey

Seasons of Bryant – SpringFour Seasons. Two Men. One Love.

For struggling film student Isamu Taylor, life’s refrain is about to change from boring documentary about a passionless delivery boy to a blazing and wildly erotic love story.

After spending weeks admiring handsome but older Manhattan executive Brian Gilles while delivering brioche to him in Bryant Park, the man of his lusty dreams has just expressed a desire to get to know Isamu better. A night on the town is just the beginning of a whirlwind romance that will span not only four seasons but countless years.

Amid the beauty and charm of Bryant Park, New York City, two men are about to discover that love knows no age or economic boundaries. This is the first of four short stories in what will be the ‘Tales of Bryant’ collection starring these two amazing men, their one sublime love, and the Park where it all started.

Sweeter than Honey – C.M. Valencourt

Wyatt is a beekeeper, excited for the beginning of his town’s annual farmers market, where he expects to sell his wares and get some hot guys’ phone numbers. But these plans start to unravel when sets up shop next to a sexy vegan baker named Grayson.

Grayson believes that keeping bees is akin to owning a slaughterhouse, and he’ll do anything to run Wyatt out of business. Can Wyatt win him over with his sweet honey and even sweeter smile?

Special Nights – DJ Jamison

Sam’s insomnia drives him out of his apartment in the wee hours of the night. He ends up at a diner, where he meets an intriguing waiter named Hunter. As the seasons go by, Sam and Hunter court over BLTs and OJ, slowly falling in love.

Winters Chill – Cathy Brockman

The ice storm of a century hits Missouri.

Winter savvy Lane Jennings is the only one prepared, thanks to a decade in North Dakota. Too shy to approach his drool-worthy neighbor, he’s left fantasizing about him at night. That is until the storm, when a branch breaks free, trapping him beneath. Now it’s up to Lane to save him from his icy peril and care for him throughout the storm.

It was a near death experience for stunned Jeffrey Nichols. Never had he seen anything as beautifully terrifying as the weather and his neighbor. One threatened his life and the other his secret. He wasn’t sure which was more dangerous, but when Lane gives him a warm shelter through the storm, he quickly realizes he will find out.

Can an ice storm thaw two frozen hearts?

Beach Boys – Annabelle Jacobs

Sea, sand, and hopefully sun, are all Russ expects to find on his week away in Cornwall.

Surfing with his two best mates is all Blake has planned for his short break. With the long drive to get to Penzance, there’s no time for anything else.

With help from Bailey the dog, Russ and Blake discover they might have more in common than they first thought.

Who Do You Love, My Valentine – EJ Smyth

Immortal Nox is subcontracted to love god Eros during the Valentine rush. After he gets distracted by his long-time human crush Matt, his arrows go astray. The second missile finds a pretty young woman who instantly falls in love with Matt. Which would be great, except that Matt is gay. Nox must prevent the unsuitable match before the Gods find out. Yet doing his job may very well break his heart…

Read this steamy, romantic short story by EJ Smyth to get you into the mood for the perfect Valentine’s night.

Favorite Flowers – Chris McHart

Gabe runs a flower shop. He always makes bouquets for everyone, but nobody has ever brought him flowers. His love-life is non-existent. Until Jason walks in and sparks fly.

Jason in the middle of a nasty divorce and the last thing he needs is getting into another relationship. But he can’t resist the shop-owner.

But even if Jason comes back for flower every week, one of them has to make the first step. And even if one does, can favorite flowers lead to anything?

The Last Chance – RJ Scott

It’s the last year of college and Luke can’t forget the captain of the hockey team, or the kiss they shared as freshman.

Justin has to decide if hockey outweighs his attraction to Luke, because this might be the last chance he’ll have of making things right.

V.L. Locey loves worn jeans, yoga, belly laughs, walking, reading and writing lusty tales, Greek mythology, the New York Rangers, comic books, and coffee. (Not necessarily in that order.) She shares her life with her husband, her daughter, one dog, two cats, a flock of assorted domestic fowl, and two Jersey steers.

DJ Jamison is the author of more than a dozen m/m romances, including the Ashe Sentinel series and the Hearts and Health series. She writes a variety of queer characters, from gay to bisexual to asexual, with a focus on telling love stories that are more about common ground than lust at first sight.

DJ grew up in the Midwest in a working-class family, and those influences can be found in her writing through characters coping with real-life problems: money troubles, workplace drama, family conflicts and, of course, falling in love.

DJ spent more than a decade in the newspaper industry before chasing her first dream to write fiction. She spent a lifetime reading before that, and continues to avidly devour her fellow authors’ books each night. She lives in Kansas with her husband, two sons, two fish and, regrettably, one snake.

About Chris McHart

I’m a writer of M/M romance and M/M erotic romance from Germany.

I’ve always had stories in my head, but a while ago I allowed them to get out and on paper. Looks like it has been a good decision, although the more stories I write, the more I have in my head. Maybe I’ll have all of them out someday, and there’ll be nothing more to write, but for the next years, I don’t see that coming.
When I’m not writing, I spend time with my family (I have the best husband EVER) and try to keep all my animals happy. I also enjoy gardening and cooking, although I’m still looking for someone to clean up afterwards. And, of course, I love reading, whenever I have a quiet moment.Writing and reading is my break from everyday stress and I hope you join me!

Review: Captain Merric by Rebecca Cohen

Cover Design: Garrett Leigh @ Black Jazz Design

Length: 55,000 words approx.

Blurb

A tale of pirates, lost love, and the fight for a happy ending.

After he’s set adrift and left to die by his mutinous crew, the last person Royal Navy officer Daniel Horton expects to come to his rescue is Captain Merric. An infamous pirate, Merric is known as much for stealing his victims’ hearts as their jewels. Daniel’s world is about to be turned upside down when he recognises Captain Merric as none other than Edward Merriston, someone he thought he’d never see again.
Edward can’t believe Daniel Horton is aboard his ship. While Edward is willing to do anything he can to get a second chance at their happy ending, Daniel isn’t interested in digging up the past. But Daniel is one priceless treasure Captain Merric isn’t about to let go of without a fight.

Captain Merric first appeared as short story in a pirate-themed anthology. Now completely rewritten and extended he is ready to set sail again.

My Review ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

From murder to mutiny to castaway to rescue by pirates, Captain Daniel Horton’s fortunes shift from bad to worse. It should be the final straw in the distinguished career of this Royal Navy man, but Fortune is a fickle mistress and the man who captains the pirate ship is Daniel’s former lover. Captain Merric has a rake’s reputation—seducing the sons of British lords left and right, and he’s already broken Daniel’s heart once before.

This is an amusing story, an entertaining escape into Daniel and Captain Merric’s world of rum and rediscovery. Merric would not hurt Daniel for all the world, though Daniel must behave a certain way in order to keep from being hurt by Merric’s men. It’s a tangled emotional skein of hiding their true feelings from others and from each other, and the untangling of the lovers’ troubles is a satisfying read.

Julian Thomas made the unpopular decision to become Beholden and focus his magic only on scrying. Because of it, he’s the best at his job and the top scryer for the Department of Extranormal and Magical Affairs. Which why Investigations Agent Wes Caldwell goes right to Julian for help locating a missing person.

When Wes needs to use his magic to boost Julian’s, they find a magical resonance between them that quickly leads to more. Julian doesn’t want to move too fast, but Wes knows Julian is it for him. He’s fine with waiting, as long as Julian stays close as they work through it.

But then Julian falls ill, and it’s clear there’s a magical reason. Wes will stop at nothing to find out what’s plaguing Julian, and when they realize just how deep the plot goes, they have more questions than answers. Magic is increasing in the world, and no one can figure out why. Julian and Wes have found love, but will it be enough to get them through what’s to come?

Excerpt

“Better?” Wes asked eventually. “Feel more centered and focused now?”

I nodded. Then I sat back a little so I could see his face. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and tucked my fingers down the collar of his dress shirt, not wanting to lose too much contact with his skin. “Yes, thank you.”

“First things first,” Wes said, his voice all business and his face serious. “Are we bonded?”

I sucked in a breath, surprised he’d made that leap. But he had to know that we weren’t. If we’d made a bond, even an unintentional one, he would feel the pull as much as I did. “Of course not.”

He just nodded his head, like that was the answer he expected. “But you feel better when you’re touching me. When you can pull on my magic to augment your own?”

I released a sigh, and couldn’t quite stop myself from snuggling just a tiny bit closer. I shrugged one shoulder. “Yes. Like I said, your magic fits with mine. So it’s easy and natural to use you as a source. I’m sorry about that.”

He glared at me like I had said something stupid. “Don’t be ridiculous. There’s nothing to apologize for. It’s not like you did it on purpose. Right?”

That last bit was said with just a tiny bit of accusation. I tried not to be offended. “No, I didn’t do it on purpose.”

Wes just squinted at me. “So then, we have to figure out what’s going on with you, what’s pulling on your power. Until then, you just need to stick close to me so I can keep you stable.”

I gave an indignant huff. “That’s hardly practical. We’ve both got jobs to do. You seriously can’t expect us to stay in each other’s pockets because I have a little sense of fatigue. You’re getting a little extreme there, buddy.” I tried to pull away from him but he held me fast, and gave me a look that I couldn’t quite interpret.

“You’ve got someone else that can keep your magic and your energy up?”

“Well, no,” I answered honestly. I’d never met anyone whose magic fit so well with mine. “But that doesn’t mean you can just drop everything and keep me stable. That thought is just-” I cast about for a suitable word and finally settled on, “preposterous.”

Wes just gave a snort, sounding amused. “I can do whatever I want. And I don’t want you lying in bed barely able to function. That serves no one. So you’ll just have to be ‘in my pocket’ until we can figure it out and fix you. There has to be some magical means at work here. And I am an Investigations Agent. I’ll investigate.”

His tone was playful, cajoling, and I wanted to smile, but this was too serious. We barely knew each other and, my crush notwithstanding, he couldn’t just drop everything to take care of me. He wasn’t making any sense.

The Rowan Harbor Cycle Series

Five years ago, Jesse dropped out of college and came home to Rowan Harbor to find safety with his pack. A broken man, he’s been living as though the world is ending—allergic to responsibility and spending most of his nights at the local bar.

But he can’t avoid growing up forever. On the night of his thirtieth birthday party, he finds his childhood friend Isla unconscious, attacked in the middle of their peaceful hometown. The wolf inside him wants to protect its people from the slick-haired, smooth-talking vampire who’s brought trouble to town, and Jesse can’t run from his instincts any longer.

Now that his inner wolf is out of its cage, it’s picked the most inconvenient moment to find its mate. Sean Anderson—recently back from college and much changed from the skinny preteen Jesse once knew—is just what he never knew he needed.

Trigger Warning: discussion of past abuse.

This novel is intended for adult audiences, and contains swearing and sex.

This is the second of nine books in The Rowan Harbor Cycle, not a standalone. It continues where the first book left off. Jesse and Sean will return in book five to continue their story, so this book contains a HFN, not their HEA.

Author Bio

Sam wrote her first fantasy epic with her best friend when she was ten. Like almost any epic fiction written by a ten year old, it was awful. She likes to think she’s improved since then, if only because she has better handwriting now.

If she’s not writing, she’s almost certainly either reading or lost down a wikipedia rabbit hole while pretending to research for a novel.

Release Blitz: The Hunger Within by Lily Luchesi

Vampirism isn’t all sex, blood, and handcuffs. * She’s not all whips and orgasms.

What inspired me to write The Hunger Within

The Hunger Within really started with A Bloody Legacy, the 15k word novelette I released this past April with Hot Ink Press.

BDSM has always been interesting to me, not just because of the sexual aspect but the psychological one as well. It takes two entirely different types of people to be doms/dommes and subs, and different reasons for why each role appeals to them. However, I never thought about writing it at all, though I had penned some erotica short stories for anthologies.

My publisher said femdomme was becoming a trend in books and that there was a lack of it. Somehow, that night, the idea for A Bloody Legacy came to mind.

I am a vampire nerd. Ask anybody. Vampires dominate (pun intended) my work, and I was always intrigued by Dracula and Stoker’s portrayal that he basically had a small harem with his three brides, plus wanting Lucy and then Mina.

Right away my mind went not to Dracula himself, but to a daughter, the next in line to take over the House of Dracul. From there, I thought about Renfield, and how Dracula wasted an opportunity in killing him when he was such a faithful servant (and really was submissive when you read between the lines). So right away, a female Renfield popped into my head with all of the submissive nature but none of the mental illness.

I hadn’t planned on writing a full length novel for the two women, Victoria and Bec, but right away my readers came to me and said, “We need more!” Not want, but need. I am not a plotter, ideas have to come naturally to me.

It took maybe a week before the idea came, and I still have no freakin’ clue how it happened. But I’m glad it did.

As I wrote, I knew I wanted to delve deeper into the psychology of a new sub in a relationship with an experienced domme. We dommes can be cold and calculating due to our positions, often hiding our softer emotions to play our roles. I wanted to explore that line of thinking and how it can confuse a sub, especially a new one.

I also wanted to add in more action, because I grew up with violent vamps, not sexy ones. But to me, violence and power can be very sexy indeed, and that was another thing I made sure to point out in the narrative. To tell the truth, this was also an excuse to write about bloodplay in a very natural setting.

My mind is a melting pot, and everything just stirred together like a big stew and turned into The Hunger Within. Sex, blood, and handcuffs. Love, mystery, and mind games. I hope readers enjoy the book half as much as I enjoyed writing it. Vampires wielding whips and chains as well as fangs? Yes please…

The body of my best friend for the past twelve years was lying on the entryway floor, nearly bloodless. Her glassy eyes stared at the ceiling in disbelief and eternal fear. I hoped that the undertaker fixed that, or else she’d give the visitors at her funeral quite a shock. Not that the dual vampire bites and broken neck wouldn’t be startling enough.

What was I doing as my friend’s body lay cooling? I was pushed up against the wall in the very same hallway, tasting her blood on my lips and having my clothes torn off of me by my impatient and unbearably sexy Sire and Mistress, Victoria Draconis.

Her now blood-warmed hands tugged down my tank top and tore off my bra in a bloodlust filled haze, leaving bloody handprints on my pale flesh. The eyes that were usually black were now burning with Hellfire, and I am sure mine were as well. She leaned in and licked the blood from the side of my face, her body holding me flush against the wall.

The feelings inside of me were heady and intoxicating, a dark mix of lust, satisfaction, anticipation, and warmth I had never known before. Victoria had told me that there was no better sex than that which took place right after a first feeding, and she seemed to be correct. She hadn’t even touched more than a breast on me and already I was more turned on than I had ever been.

I wanted to make the job go quicker and help remove the rest of my clothing, but I refrained. Victoria hadn’t told me that I could and I didn’t want to risk angering her. And no way in Hell would I touch hers without express permission.

“So pliant,” she said, her deep, accented voice giving me chills. “You are a fast learner, my pet.” Her lips captured mine again as she slid my leggings and panties down. I stepped out of them and my sneakers in two quick movements.

Victoria’s hands went to the back of her corset and began to unlace it. Despite it being the twenty-first century, she dressed like a Victorian lady….if ladies of bygone days wore four-inch black leather heels and liked to whip other women for fun, that is. The garment fell away from her body, exposing her large, soft breasts as she then stepped out of her skirt, leaving her heels and sheer red panties on.

Fingers tugged at my nipples, hard, but I was now used to worse.

“As I said, I knew I’d increase your pain threshold,” she said, a smug smile on her face. One hand slithered from my breast up my chest and neck, pressing ever so slightly on my throat now. “On the ground, on your hands and knees. Now.”

I obeyed, too full of arousal to care that I was about to kneel in freshly spilled blood. There was a rustling from behind me and then there was a sharp pain on my arse. She’d removed the belt from my jeans and had proceeded to use it as a whip, something she had done once before when the proper tools weren’t in easy reach.

Victoria loved giving pain, just as much as I loved taking it as I arched my back to meet her next stroke. I hadn’t been her sub for very long. In fact, I had just discovered the lifestyle when we met a month ago, but I was so glad that I’d found her…found this.

The next slap of the belt was right between my legs and I let out a cry, somewhere between pain and arousal as the leather connected with my now throbbing clit. I slid forward in the slippery blood, just a bit, and heard my Mistress’ dark laughter behind me.

A few more strokes with the belt adorned my arse, back, and between my shoulder blades, sending me forward even more. The friction–or lack thereof–on the floor had me sprawling, my body now covered in blood as I fought for purchase.

Victoria laid off with the belt, and I felt her sharp heel digging into my back, pressing me downwards despite my effort to remain on all fours.

“Be a good pet and lick it up,” she commanded. “Not all of it, just what’s in front of you.”

The fuck? This was new, at least to me.

I yelped as a fresh wave of pain hit me: Victoria had noticed my hesitation and whipped me straight down my spine.

“Did I stutter, slut?”
